I still get goosebumps thinking about that call from Vogue. They wanted The Hidden Garden to create florals for their Women in Film celebration at the Beverly Hills Hotel, then follow it up with arrangements for the next morning's brunch at Hotel Bel-Air. Two iconic venues, two different vibes, and a chance to honor the women who are reshaping Hollywood. Yeah, I was all in.
The photos from both events turned out beautifully. You can see them from the Women in Film dinner here and the brunch celebration here. Aaron Idelson's photography captured everything perfectly, including that shot of our florals credited at the end.
Night One: Beverly Hills Hotel Magic

The Beverly Hills Hotel iconic Polo Private Room was packed with serious star power. Natasha Rothwell from The White Lotus was there, along with Brittany Snow, Rachel Zoe, and Olivia Munn. Women in Film has been fighting for gender equality in the industry since 1973, and this event brought together the women who are carrying that torch forward today.
For the evening celebration, we created these rich, dramatic centerpieces that ran the length of the dinner tables. Deep red roses and burgundy dahlias anchored each arrangement, mixed with purple vanda orchids and touches of pink nerines. The whole look was warm and moody, perfect for candlelight. Glass votives nestled between the arrangements cast this golden glow across the blooms and made the wood-paneled dining room come alive.
The dining room was where everything came together. Candlelight bouncing off the blooms, the energy in the room, the conversations happening around those tables. You could literally see connections being made and ideas sparking. That's when flowers do their best work, when they create an atmosphere where magic happens.
Day Two: The Vogue Edit Brunch at Hotel Bel-Air

The next morning's arrangements were completely different. For the Vogue Edit brunch with Naomi Elizée and FWRD, we created these dreamy compote-style arrangements mixing white cosmos, soft pink spray roses, and white garden roses. The cosmos added that whimsical California garden touch with their daisy-like petals catching the morning light perfectly.
Each arrangement sat in a classic black pedestal vase, giving them height and drama while keeping the blooms soft and romantic. White carnations and hydrangeas filled out the base, creating this cloud-like effect. The contrast of the black vessels against those delicate pink and white blooms was exactly what the space needed. Clean, sophisticated, but still approachable.
Shirley Kurata was there co-hosting, after her 2023 Oscar nomination for Everything Everywhere All at Once. She talked about choosing projects you're passionate about, and honestly, that resonated deeply. Every arrangement we create at The Hidden Garden comes from that same place of passion.
Why This Matters
The Hidden Garden is a female-led team through and through. Most of my designers are women. Same with my coordinators and creative directors. We've all built our careers in this industry from the ground up. Supporting Women in Film hits close to home because we know what it takes to make it in any business where you're pushing against old barriers.
These celebrations honored women who are actively changing Hollywood. Directors gathered with producers. Costume designers connected with executives. Everyone there was supporting each other and lifting up the next generation. Being chosen by Vogue to create the florals for these events was an honor I'll never forget.
