Those are the words we wait to say every year! If you know The Hidden Garden, you know that we absolutely LOVE us some lilac. We couldn't be happier to announce that it finally sprung up at the flower market this week. Since it's the first crop, it's mostly just the white and lavender color but we don't care... We'll take it all! We can't wait to snatch up all of the vibrant purple lilac that should be showing up soon. So, you know where to go when you want some lilac in your life... The Hidden Garden!

Well, Spring has officially arrived... at the flower market at least! One of our most favorite flowers is now popping up at the market. Viburnum is only available around this time of year and will only grace us with it's presence for about two months (if we're lucky). Think of viburnum as a little mini hydrangea puff. It is such a cute and delicate flower. But, it's soft green hue also makes it quite beautiful. You'll be seeing these wonderful little fur balls in all of our spring arrangements!

If you've never been down to our flower market, put it on your bucket list! Los Angeles has the 2nd largest flower market in the world. With about three square blocks of real estate, hundreds of vendors, and miles of flowers it is a beautiful sight to behold. You'll see flowers that you didn't know existed and the most gorgeous colors that you've ever seen. With Spring around the corner, there is every shade of purple, pink, peach and green that you can imagine. When Fall hits, you'll see rich reds, rusts, burgundy and browns everywhere. So many flowers are only available for a few weeks and once they're gone they are gone. We try to enjoy them while we can. Our team takes "field trips" to the market at the change of every season so we know what's new, what's available and what looks great. And for all you romantics out there.... There's nothing better than coming home to flowers that your sweetheart made the effort to pick out and arrange for you. They'll be beautiful no matter how they look :)
